Hello Ravenna Staff:

Welcome back!  I hope this note finds everyone well rested and in good spirits.  I hope that each of you were able to enjoy some time off around the holidays and re-energize for the awesome task that awaits us for the remainder of the school year.

I hope everyone has a restful or productive weekend!

Hello Ravenna Staff:

Another semester in the books!  Hard to believe that after all of the holidays, snow days and changes to our routines that we are ready for the last four month push.  As hard as it is to get back into the swing of things, I would urge all of us to prepare our students with urgency.  The district made tremendous academic gains for the 2-12-13 school year and I am hopeful that we will continue to push forward and continue our success.  I am equally hopeful that we make additional gains in value added to the point where we may be able to use district wide value added as part of the 2-14-15 student growth measure on the OTES!  Wouldn’t that be great!

Regardless, thank you for your patience and understanding with the snow days and the make ups that we must all figure out and endure.

Also, I would remind everyone that the levy vote is next Tuesday, February 4th.  Please remind students, parents, friends and neighbors that this is critical to keep our school district moving forward.  We need additional resources to be able to provide for staff and especially students through the upcoming years.

Rest well colleagues.
