Happy Friday Ravenna Staff!

With about 28 student days remaining after today (but who’s counting?), we need to stay focused our critical missions.  Our main mission is to provide support and an opportunity for an excellent education to all of our young people.  Bundled in that education are life experiences and opportunities.  It is sometimes difficult to stay focused with all of the distractions and peripheral variables that we must deal with.  I am especially reminded of those “other” variables as we are up to our neck in standardized testing.  We owe it to our children, community and profession to stay positive and continue to push, challenge and move our students and organization forward.  Do not be discouraged or detoured!

Also, another reminder of the other inequity in our system that is at a tipping point in our district.  School funding.  PLEASE vote and tell all of your friends, neighbors, relatives and anyone else you know that this is a critical time in our school district.  We are moving forward and we cannot afford to be limited by inadequate resources.   Utilize social media as much as you can to emphasize the importance of the vote.  I BELIEVE that we have the votes but we need to get people to the polls!

Rest well.

Happy Friday Ravenna Staff!

First and foremost, Happy Mother’s day to all of you, your families and friends!  I know that I will be taking time to reflect and give thanks for all of the wonderful Mothers in my life!

Please try to celebrate and enjoy the weekend as we wind down the OAA’s and prepare for the final 22 day push (but who’s counting?).

Rest well colleagues.
