Students in the Child Development class at RHS are currently exploring the “Importance of Play.” They have spent some time getting acquainted with a few toys of the past and are making recommendations about them regarding age appropriateness and overall safety. In addition, students are evaluating the toys in relation to their development of social, cognitive & motor skills, the fostering of imagination, creativity and/or musical affinity and the teaching of responsibility. Child Development is an elective class open to all RHS students in grades 9-12.
