Portage County Retired Teachers Association Visits RHS

May 18, 2021

Members of the Portage County Retired Teachers Association visited Ravenna High School to observe presentations by teachers they have recently awarded grants to purchase equipment to use in the classroom.  PCRTA teachers visited Mrs. Gretchen Sivinski who demonstrated how the vinyl Cutter purchased by the grant would be used to increase school spirit, improve school culture, and increase communications with the community.   Mr. Matthew Wunderle also demonstrated use of an Oculus Quest II virtual reality headset he has used with government students to create a VR art gallery.  PCRTA teachers had the opportunity to wear the VR headset and walk through the gallery of images that students created to represent landmark Supreme Court decisions affecting freedom of expression.
