Carol Davidson Foley is a 1958 graduate of Ravenna High School. Music has been a part of Carol’s life since childhood. Noted for her beautiful voice in high school, she was involved in choir, chorus and ensembles. In 1962, she graduated from Baldwin Wallace with a degree in Music. Since then, she has done solo work, taught piano and has given voice lessons in her own studio. Carol taught music at the Brooklyn and Chagrin Falls School Systems. For seven ears Carol, her husband, Bill and their sons performed professionally as the “Foley Family Singers”. Since 1964 Carol and Bill have directed the music program at the Federated Church at Chagrin. Between them, they have directed 15 performing groups, involving 720 people. They have produced and directed the “Joyful Noise”; a group of young people from high schools in the Chagrin Valley. In 1991 when the Foley’s founded the Cleveland BoyChoir, they had brought positive reinforcement and artistic guidance to hundreds of boys. More than 160 inner city boys now make up the BoyChoir and perform concerts throughout Ohio and beyond. Carol has dedicated her life to music and helping children to reach their musical potential.
