Athletic Accomplishments
DiAndra Gibson, the daughter of Hank and Andrea Gibson and the sister of Tate Gibson was born and raised in Ravenna, Ohio, where she graduated from Ravenna School District in 2012. While attending Ravenna School District, DiAndra participated in Soccer, Basketball, and Softball. She was a 4-year letter winner in Soccer and basketball and lettered twice in softball as she only played her freshman and junior year. She was a 4-year starter for the Ravenna Ravens basketball team helping the Ravens win over 80 games in her high school basketball career. DiAndra earned First team All-PTC in the Metro Division all four years and was a two-time player of the year in the Metro Division. During her high school basketball career, she averaged double figures in scoring in each of her four years. She captured All District Player of the year during her junior year as well as First-Team All-Ohio and Second- Team All Ohio as a senior.
During her senior year she broke the school rebounding record while leading her team to a 20-0 mark. DiAndra scored 1,126 points, grabbed 843 rebounds, 270 steals and dished out 232 assists during her basketball career at Ravenna High School. Following her basketball career at Ravenna High School, she went on to play basketball at the University of Akron on a full ride scholarship. She started three of her four years at the University of Akron. As a sophomore starter at the University of Akron, DiAndra got to experience capturing a MAC Championship Title. She started every game of Akron’s 13 game winning streak that year. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science/ criminal justice from the University of Akron. DiAndra is employed by the United States Federal Probation Services as a Federal probation Officer and resides in Berea, Ohio with her fiancee Anthony and their daughter, Maddox.
