Athletic Accomplishments
A 1971 graduate of Ravenna High School and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati in 1975, Jeff has blended a successful career of athletics and business. Lettering three years each in football, baseball, and basketball at Ravenna, and being awarded Metropolitan League honors in each sport highlighted his high school athletic career. Following four successful years at the University of Cincinnati, Jeff was drafted in the fifth round in 1975 with the Cincinnati Bengals. The 1975-1976 season was spent with the St. Louis Cardinals followed by a successful four year stay with the San Diego Chargers (1976-1980). His punting skills then allowed him to develop a five-year association with the Seattle Seahawks (1981-1985). Residing in Washington with his wife, Kathy, and two children, Jeff continues his winning ways in community activities. In 1983 he was awarded the state of Washington, District II, Special Olympics Man of the Year, and in 1984, honors followed with the Pudget Sound Blood Bank – Man of the Year. Jeff is a Program Manager for Cincinnati Bell Informations Services. His outstanding success at Ravenna high School continued into college and professional sports. He has molded his skills in athletics, coaching, business, community efforts and family life into a blend of successful endeavors.
