Academic and Career Accomplishments

Neil Mann Jr. is a 1960 graduate of Ravenna High School. He attended Ohio University and the University of Akron. He served in the 107th Armored Cavalry Ohio National Guard. Neil began his employment with Allen Aircraft Products, Inc., a company founded by his father and two classmates from Ravenna High School. He worked in many aspects of the business. He eventually became Vice President and is currently President and Chief Executive Officer. The company has grown to over $20 million in sales with approximately 150 employees and customers throughout the world. Neil’s employment has afforded him the opportunity to give of his time and financial resources to numerous organizations throughout the community. Neil has served in a number of volunteer capacities: President of Robinson Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Ravenna Rotary; Campaign Chair, Portage County United Way, Board Member of the following organizations: Portage County American Cancer Society, Portage County Muscular Dystrophy Association, Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce, and Walsh Jesuit High School. He has been honored as Maplewood Career Center Citizen of the Year, Ravenna Rotarian of the Year, Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year and Robinson Memorial Hospital Foundation 2008 Distinguished Service Award. Neil believes that if you are fortunate enough to have been given an opportunity and have enjoyed a certain degree of success, you have a responsibility to give back to your employees and your community. In support of this thought, contributions have been made to Robinson Memorial Foundation, Ravenna High School Stadium, Friends of the Parks, Portage County United Way, Immaculate Conception Parish, Portage Animal Protective League and Ravenna Rotary, to name a few.
