The “Fab” Four

Major Contribution to Ravenna Schools

Brett Dubinsky, Ed Jordan, Lee Jordan & Tom “Jake” Schmauch

Four friends, Brett Dubinsky, Ed Jordan, Lee Jordan, and Tom “Jake “Schmauch, gave back to their community by helping the youth of Ravenna enjoy lasting memories with the game they all loved “Ravenna Football”. It was never about them. It was about the youth of Ravenna, giving young boys the glory and honor of being one of the most feared teams in the league, and to be called Champions. Their job was to teach them, build them and mold them to become successful athletes, and to eventually become respectful and dependable young men. It wasn’t easy, but it was a lot of fun. Their years coaching the Ravenna Rams brought many Suburban Youth titles. The Rams were undefeated Champions in 1979. They won league titles in 1983, 1991, 1994, 1998, and 2000. They mad six appearances in the Youth National Championship Game and the Rams won the Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1994.

In 2004 they all moved up to Ravenna High School and coached under Head Coach Jim Lunardi. They started with the Freshmen teams and had undefeated records in 2005, 2007, 2014, and 2016. They also accepted assistant coaching positions and helped the Ravens win league titles in 2004, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2014, and 2018. They were part of the State Playoff teams for Ravenna in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2018. They helped make school history when the Ravenna Ravens won their first ever post-se.ason playoff game in 2011, by beating the undefeated Southeast Pirates at Ravenna Stadium. Football was not always about the wins and losses. It was about teaching life lessons to their players. The locker room talks about work ethic, the importance of education, the ups and downs of everyday life, and how to be a part of something that is bigger than you, were held regularly. Football has, and always will be a special time for these four very special friends. They will always be Ravenna Ravens.
